It's interesting how Paper Mario was going to be called Super Mario RPG 2, I Don't have much to say about this, So i'll describe some early screenshots of Paper Mario.

Early screenshot, Mario is at the haunted woods (I don't remember the name) Mario looks different, So does the bushes.
Mario's look changed, The King Goomba looks a bit more cartoon-ish than the final version, You can barely see Goombario behind mario because of the IGN logo, but you can see his hat was different.
The koopas look different this time, So does the hammer meter, and the HP, I forgot to mention some stuff in the above screenshot, such as the Item Selection, The koopas also look a bit more cartoon-ish this time.
The battle with Red Goomba and Blue Goomba, That springboard is not there in the final version battle, So does that blue meter thingy above Red Goomba.
This is the small town where you meet Goombario, Note the house, it looks different, And that koopa is not there in the final version.
Mario's look changed again?...Anyways, he's at the haunted woods, That scenario wasn't in the final version, i believe. I never noticed the eyes of the moon...
A house in a tropical beach i believe, I don't know if this is in the final version i never beated Paper Mario, So we're again with the early look of mario, Note toad, he looks different too.
...Mario is hearing something outside? I bet he's inside of the tropical beach house above this screenshot.
Mario standing at a rock, Good...Wait, what about that dog? He's not in the final version, i believe.
Looks like Nep-Enut was intended to appear, I don't know why he was removed, it would be cool if he was keep in the game.
Back with the final look of mario, He's at the train at a desert, I don't know if this was at the final version or not...
The HP, FP, SP and Coins tab changed, I believe that tree looks different in the final version. And what about that blue-red caped koopa? Is he in the final version?
Screenshot of a battle, The life meter of the enemies look different, And the Item selection thingy was changed too, But what about that Pink-White Checkered Platform? You can see it, Is that in the final version?
Peach's Castle... In it's place? Wasn't it supposed Bowser lifted it to the outer space? Perhaps Peach's Castle is there after you beat the game?
Bowser looks different here, Kammy Koopa looks Slighty different, Peach looks same as the final version, Bowser looks Meele-ish.
Toad Town, Probably? The background looks different, And that koopa wasn't there, So does that "welcome" sign.
Battle with the Red Goomba and Blue Goomba, Everything looks normal.
Is that Mail Paratroopa there in the final version? So does that Yellow Yoshi?
Peach at her castle with the Star Kid (I don't remember his name) Everything looks normal
The menu, It looks slighty different.
Got nothing to say, So everything looks normal.
The train of I don't know what place it is, Was that train even used?
Why everything is starting to look normal now? Anyways this is the entrance to Yoshi's Village as it says in that sign over there.

FINALLY SOMETHING THAT LOOKS DIFFERENT! The health meter of the enemies look different, And that backpack icon wasn't there, So does that two Shoes icon, I think that icon with the two shoes was originally the icon to escape the battle.

Was that tree with those oranges there? Or it just has a different texture? What about those sunflowers?
Mario at a pyramid, Was that pyramid stage even used? Or it's just the Koopa Bros' Fortress with a different texture?
Peach at the balcony of her castle, Everything looks normal, But is that little star in the bubble chat even in position?
Mario about to hit a Paragoomba with a hammer, everything looks normal. EXCEPT that's the stage where you go with Goompa to look his hammer, You can't even go there becaus that part was before Goompa thought of Goombario joining Mario in his adventure, Or can you really go there? So many questions omg!
Mario fighting the Fuzzies to get the koopas' shells back Everything looks normal.
Mario at Toad Town, Was that blue toad even there? I don't know. And what asbout that house behind the Pipe that leads to Mario's House? Was it even there too?
Mario at the Train Station, Everything looks normal.
Battle with two Bob-Ombs at the Koopa Bros' Fortress. Everything looks normal. EXCEPT. The blue koopa, He Joins Mario's Adventure just after you defeat the Koopa Bros. In The Koopa Town, If you recover your shell back, he'll join your adventure.
Mario jumping on a Springboard collecting coins, With goompario down there. Everything looks normal. "Why are Beta Images looking so cheesy? Like if someone printed it then Crumpled the paper with the photo."
Mario and the Blue Koopa battling with two Paragoombas. Was that battle after the Blue Koopa joins your adventure? Or before he joined Mario?
Mario Screaming in pain because he burned his butt, Lol. Everything looks normal.
Everything looks Normal. "Mario: How can i get to that switch and press it?"
Everything Looks normal except that the Blue Koopa's color changed, I believe, To green. Or it is just a Paratroopa fighting with Mario?
Bowser, Still with his Melee-ish looking.

Everything looks normal, Except for that Red Paratroopa. Red Koopas doesn't appear in the final version, I believe.
Mario at the Desert. Everything looks normal, But we're those Koopa Soldiers there? "Wait, Desert.. Soldiers...They're in Africa!"

Mario fighting with some weird-looking enemies in a haunted house? That shoe icon is different and that Star icon wasn't there.
Mario at a Yoshi's Island-Looking Cave. "What's Wrong with the Mail Paratroopa's face?"

That "NICE" Text looks different in the final version, Or it's unused?

Mario at a Snow Land, Is that Snow Land ever used?
Everything looks normal. EXCEPT. For that sign saying "Mushroom Kingdom" It originally said "Toad Town"

(All the following screenshots say that are from year 2000, 1 Year before Paper Mario was even released, But all the screenshots look exactly the same as the Final Version's gameplay, So i can't always say "Same as Above" So i won't add them, Sorry.
